Besides, I am trying to learn something every day during this lockdown, and I will be also summarizing those in this blog. So here is what I will write in the upcoming days: poetry, life lesson, funny anecdotes, and some miscellaneous shit. I am turning 30 this year (which is half-taken by COVID-19) and I gotta get my shit together before I enter into my 30s. Moreover, I believe this will bring more discipline to my life. There is immense satisfaction when you complete a writing challenge (I once took a similar challenge but that was just a six-word-poetry challenge). If I can do this for the next 30days, I think I will die peacefully. But if you happen to read this, thank you for stopping by. I also want to invite you to this writing challenge because I want you to shame me if you do not see my content 2/3 days in a row and I want to do the same for you. But you know what? Perfection is an illusion. Now, before taking this challenge, I asked myself why is this challenge apparently so simple yet it is not? And I found this one answer: we want it to be PERFECT.
I have given myself this one job during this summer break: write a piece of “shit” every morning. Everyone knows that.īut I hope gone are the days for me now. We love reading “how to become a writer” instead of ever writing a single line. If writing is their fulltime job, then they need to write stuff like that and there are millions of folks waiting to read the same content offered by the same/different writers again and again. No disrespect for “how to” writers though. You see, I have a weakness for writers, not for the ones who write “how to stuff”, but for the ones who tell stories and who write for themselves. You should tell this to yourself too if you have been lurking in the air for ages with the hope of writing something someday and that someday never materialized in your life.
